Meet the Research Scholars: Colin Frick

ColinheadshotColin Frick is a junior at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a major in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration. Colin has always been intrigued by interesting ethical dilemmas, especially those concerning new technologies like social media. He became interested in researching and writing on media ethics topics after taking Dr. Scott Stroud’s Digital Ethics course. As a Media Ethics Initiative Research Scholar, he is excited to have the opportunity to think critically about difficult issues that our society is facing and will be facing in the future.

Media Ethics Initiative Research Scholars earn credits and research experience by working with the Media Ethics Initiative to promote reflection on media ethics among students and faculty at the University of Texas at Austin. They gain valuable skills by assisting the organizing and promotion of Media Ethics Initiative events, as well as by researching and writing case studies in media ethics. Interested UT Austin students can sign up for a 1, 2, or 3 credit internship for the fall or spring semester.
